Greetings Nordic Skiers and Parents!

We are excited that the Nordic Ski season is quickly approaching! If you or your son or daughter is planning to ski this year, here are a few important reminders.

  • Practice starts Monday, November 15th at 2:45 pm.
  • Every athlete must have a current physical, signed by your doctor, on file. If you don’t know if your physical is up to date, call the activities office. You will not be allowed to practice without an updated physical.
  • It is not too early to start thinking about equipment. There will again be skis and bindings available to new skiers, but you will still need to purchase or borrow boots and poles. The boots need to be compatible with SNS bindings. Returning skiers should already have or strongly consider buying their own equipment. See the post below "Equipment 101" for recommended places to shop for equipment:

We look forward to another great season and please keep checking out the blog.

What do you need?

1. Boots-Combi compatible with SNS bindings
2. Poles-2 sets: 1 for skate (chin to mouth height), 1 for classic (should fit under arm)
3. Bag for skis—This is required if you are using school skis. We need to keep the equipment we have in good condition.
